Step-by-Step Instructions

Small Hearts

  1. Create a magic circle and chain 2.
  2. Work 3 triple crochets into the magic circle.
  3. Make 3 double crochets, then 1 double crochet, 1 triple crochet, 1 double crochet.
  4. Next, 3 double crochets, followed by another 3 triple crochets.
  5. Chain 2, close the magic circle tightly, and finish with a slip stitch.
  6. Cut the yarn. Make a second heart using the same steps.

Medium Hearts

  1. Create a magic circle and follow the same steps as the Small Heart for Round 1.
  2. Chain 1 for Round 2 and:
    • Make 2 single crochets into the chain spaces.
    • For the 3 triple crochets from the previous round, work 3 double crochets into each stitch.
    • For the 3 double crochets, make 1 double crochet into each stitch.
    • For the double-triple-double crochet group, work:
      • 2 double crochets in the first stitch.
      • 1 double, 1 triple, 1 double crochet in the second stitch.
      • 2 double crochets in the third stitch.
    • Repeat symmetrical stitching for the other half of the heart.
  3. End with a slip stitch, cut the yarn, and make a second heart.

  2. For Round 3:

    • In the next 5 stitches, make 1 double crochet in each.
    • At the bottom (tip) of the heart:

      • 1 double crochet, 1 triple crochet, and 1 double crochet in the next stitch.
      • 2 double crochets in the third stitch.
    • Work the other side of the heart symmetrically.
    • To finish, make 2 half double crochets and 1 single crochet in one stitch, followed by 1 single crochet each in the last two stitches.
  3. End with a slip stitch, cut the yarn, and make a second large heart.

Assembling the Hearts

  1. Large Hearts:
    • Weave in the ends on both hearts so the back sides face inward.
    • Align the hearts and join them using single crochet stitches, leaving a small gap.
