Important Notes:

  1. Magic Ring Technique: Used several times in this project to start different sections like the stamen, sepal, petals, and pot base.
  2. Marking Stitches: Always mark the first stitch of each round using a stitch marker to keep track of your work.
  3. Yarn Tails: Hide or secure yarn tails efficiently to ensure clean edges and add durability.
  4. Working Loops: Pay attention to whether you are working into front loops or back loops for specific rounds.
  5. Wire Wrapping: Yarn will be wrapped around wires for the stem and leaves to provide structure.
  6. Stuffing: Stuff the flower pot tightly to maintain its shape before sewing soil on top.
  7. Assembly is Key: Each section (flower, leaves, pot, soil) is made individually and joined together at the end.

4. Making the Leaves:

  • Prepare 0.5 mm wire (14 cm long); bend it to match the leaf shape.

5. Making the Pot:

  • Start with a magic ring and crochet 8 single crochets into it.
  • Use the following rounds to create the pot:
    • Round 2: Make 1 increase (2 single crochets in the same stitch) in each stitch = 16 stitches.
    • Round 3: Alternate 1 single crochet and 1 increase = 24 stitches.
    • Round 4: Work 1 single crochet in each stitch’s back loop only.
    • Rounds 5-9: Work 1 single crochet in each stitch.
    • Round 10: Work crab stitches (reverse single crochet) in the front loops.
  • Add slip stitches around the bottom edge using loops from Row 4.

6. Making the Soil:

  • Begin with a magic ring and crochet 16 single crochets into it.
  • For the second round, alternate 1 single crochet and 1 increase = 24 stitches.
  • Finish by leaving a long yarn tail for sewing.

7. Assembling the Pot and Soil:

  • Stuff the pot generously.
  • Place the soil piece on top of the pot and use a darning needle to sew them together.
  • Securely tie off any loose ends.

8. Making the Flower Branch:

  • Prepare a 1 mm thick wire (about 10 cm long).
  • Apply hot glue at the top of the wire and insert it into the flower’s center.
  • Use the yarn tail from the sepal to wrap the wire:
    • After wrapping about 5 cm, glue and attach the leaves.
