    A pair of 6mm safety eyes Black embroidery floss

    Yarn needle
    Fibrefill

  • BLO = back loop only

Step By Step Pattern

Head / Body Using Red:

  • Rnd 1 6sc in MR (6)
  • Rnd 2 inc each st around (12)
  • Rnd 3 *1sc, inc* rep 6 times (18)
  • Rnd 4 *2sc, inc* rep 6 times (24)
  • Rnd 5 *3sc, inc* rep 6 times (30)
  • Rnd 6 *4sc, inc* rep 6 times (36)
  • Rnd 7 *5sc, inc* rep 6 times (42)
  • Rnd 8 *6sc, inc* rep 6 times (48)
  • Rnd 9 *7sc, inc* rep 6 times (54)
  • Rnd 10 *8sc, inc* rep 6 times (60)

Insert safety eyes between rnds 3-4

Change to Orange

  • Rnds 11 17 sc each st around (60) (7rnds) Change to Yellow
  • Rnds 18-24 sc each st around (60) (7rnds) Change to Green
  • Rnds 25-30 sc each st around (60) (6rnds)
    Rnd 31 *8sc, dec* rep 6 times (54) Change to Blue
  • Rnd 32 *7sc, dec* rep 6 times (48)
  • Rnd 33 *6sc, dec* rep 6 times (42)
  • Rnd 34*5sc, dec* rep 6 times (36)

Start to insert stuffing and continue stuffing as you go.

  • Rnd 35 *4sc, dec* rep 6 times (30)

  • Rnd 38 *1sc, dec* rep 6 times (12)

Crochet Rainbow Bee Pattern Free Save

The Stinger:

Change to Purple

  • Rnd 39 in BLO sc each st around (12)
  • Rnds 40-43 sc each st around (12)(4 rnds) Stuff stinger firmly.
  • Rnd 44 *1sc, dec* rep 4 times (8)
  • Rnd 45 dec 4 times (4)
    Cut yarn leaving a long tail.
    Close invisibly and weave in ends

Wings: (make two) Using White

  • Rnd 1 6sc in MR (6)
  • Rnd 2 inc each st around (12)
  • Rnds 3-6 sc each st around (12)(4 rnds)
  • Rnd 7 dec 6 times (6)
  • Rnd 8 sc each st around (6)

Cut yarn leaving a long tail.

Assembly:

  • Fold the wings flat and use the long tails to attach them on top of the body over rnds 21 - 22.
  • Use black embroidery floss to stitch a smile between the eyes.
  • Take a small amount of Pink yarn and add some cheeks under each eye.
  • Weave in any remaining ends.
